National Mason Jar Day 11/30/20
Today is National Mason Jar Day. I’m not quite sure what that means, but I am obsessed with mason jars, so I guess I will celebrate the day.
I think mason jars are versatile and can be used for so many things. If you have been living under a rock and don’t own mason jars, please do yourself a favor and head over to your favorite convenient or grocery store and get some. Or, better yet, while you’re on Amazon looking for items to buy on Cyber Monday, add some mason jars to your cart. You will thank me later.
Mason jars have been around for a very long time, over 150 years to be exact. Their initial use was to pickle and preserve food. Today, oh how we have evolved and diversified the mason jar, they are everywhere. The mason jar has grown into its own movement largely because of the DIY culture and Pinterest. Moms, millennials, grandmothers, brides to be, etc. all have contributed to the rise in use of the mason jars. I don’t fall into any of those categories, but I still am an avid user of the mason jar. They are one of the most flexible items you could buy. I have seen them used for decorations, food, growing vegetables/plants, storage, just to name a few.
