Golden Friend
Haiku
brisk showers of rain
reveals critter at twilight
glistening like gold.
I had a visitor stop by to say hello after a bout of heavy rain. Typically, I am not a fan of amphibians, reptiles, all critters, or anything with more than four legs, or things that crawl, ok you get the point. I have said this many times, that as long as they are outside, I am ok with them.
This cute little critter was a pleasant surprise and it stopped me in my tracks. I was not expecting to see it clinging to the glass pane on my back door. It was glistening from the heavy rain that fell and I was mesmerized by its presence. Enough so that I grabbed my phone to capture the moment, boy have I come a long way.
I wonder if it lives in the yard, hmmm? If it does, and he visits again, I will give it a name, but what should it be?
