This was a fantastic read. Unfortunately, there is a clear disconnection when it comes to race and racism. Until someone walks a mile in our shoes, they could never fully understand or feel what we feel, so it's easy to disconnect from our plight. And, the system was set up for this disconnection and separation to occur.

I am grateful that once again you have used your voice to bring awareness to the struggle that we continue to face in this country. Thank you for sharing this with us and giving us something to ponder.
