Image by Adina Voicu from Pixabay

I blamed me for the choices I made
that caused so much hurt and pain
I blamed you for leaving me
when I needed you in my lane

I blamed me for not seeing the sunsets
when they were present every day
I blamed you for watching the sunsets
while my soul felt such dismay
