I think all men/boys should be held responsible for any sexual assaults that they commit. It is unfortunate that young women and girls have to resort to social media for their voices to be heard. It shows that we are still living in a male dominated society in which men, young men and boys are protected by a terrible system that gives them free passes or just slaps on their wrists for heinous rape and sexual assault crimes. While their victims suffer for the rest of their lives. It’s truly sickening. So, yes their voices should be heard, so I understand the need to do so, especially after they tried everything else to no avail.

With that said, this is a dangerous and frightening way to get justice. It violates the rights of an individual to be considered innocent until proven guilty. And, it hits me hard in my gut and I fear the shit show that could arise from seeking TikTok justice. I am not against women speaking out, but I wanted to acknowledge the potential for this to become dangerous, a bit of a caveat.

The law has obviously failed us women time after time, and I understand the desperation and need to seek justice by any means necessary, but God help us if this tactic morphs into something sinister.
