I think one of the most important things you can do as a writer is to remain true to who you are. If that means writing poems then write poems, if that means writing "how tos" or inspirational pieces because you want to help people, then by all means do that. I have learned that what works for one writer may not work for another. Furthermore, I find that many writers tend to bounce around on Medium attempting to find out where they fit. There is no cookie cutter strategy for Medium that would make us all successful, if that were the case we would all be raking in the dough by now. For me, I am successful because I am doing what I love and I get to share my craft with like-minded people. Thank you for sharing this with us.
