In my first job out of college, I had to train a new employee for a role similar to mine. I found out he was making significantly more money than I was. I tried to negotiate a raise but wasn't offered anything substantial, so I had to leave. I ended up in a better position making way more money. I'm glad I took that chance. Great advice.
