Infernos
Haiku
fiery infernos
embers flutter as they glide
in the fleeting breeze.
My initial intent for this piece was to bring attention to the trees weeping in agony from all the wildfires that are currently burning. But, my muse guided me on a different path. She is fascinated by flames from fires and the different sparks and glowing embers that surround them. Though fires can be dangerous and can cause much destruction my muse still finds beauty in them.
My thoughts and prayers are with all those who are caught in the midst of these 2021 wildfires. And my heart aches for all the trees that are suffering due to these uncontrollable burns.
Floating embers are responsible for the spread of many wildfires, and according to U.S. Department of Interior human negligence is one of the main causes of the problem. I wish we could become more responsible and do our due diligence to prevent these catastrophic fires from igniting. If you would like to hear more, please watch the video below.
