One of my favorite quote is "it is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men" You're so right George about the fears of babies. They are taught the ugliness of the world from their environment and once they are set free into it. It's up to each parent to make sure they teach their kids morals and values, but unfortunately not all parents have good morals and they can't control outside influences.

I saw a story recently where there were 2 little girls, one black and one white and they referred to themselves as twins. They were both around 5. They were asked why they thought they were twins and they listed everything except for their skin color. Their parents did a good job with those little girls because they were able to overcome something in their innocence that some of us can't as adults.
