Shaun, Shaun, Shaun. I had to let this one sit with me for a bit. Media bias created much of the issues and divisiveness that we see today. They along with other forces turned everything upside down. I think the vision and aim for BLM is/was great, but these outside forces swooped in and destroyed the image of the entire movement. It is unfortunate that the people who were protesting peacefully were connected to a completely separate group that caused chaos and it is further disgusting how all news media on both sides aired these stories. There is too much to detangle here. I admire your bravery for writing this opiniated piece.
