The gift and the curse: duality of social media. Yes, you can make money and gain fame, but there is also a price to pay. Is that risk greater than the rewards? With AI becoming as powerful as it is, it just makes social media a more dangerous place.
I just saw a story about a guy who got in trouble for using real images of kids to generate indecent content using AI. In my head, if those pics of the kids weren't on the internet, he wouldn't have them to use. No, it doesn't give him the right to do this, but at what point do we as the adults in the room take responsibility for our actions? I am against posting too much of our lives on these platforms, especially due to harvesting reasons and unlawful use, but that's the world we currently live in.
We need to be more responsible with our use of social media because at any moment that very gift can turn into a curse.
