Unlikely Friends
Haiku
turtle swims to shore
ibis heeds his arrival
unlikely friendship.
I snapped this picture with my phone (my apologies for the poor quality) that was taken at a park that I enjoy visiting. There is so much wildlife that I have encountered at this park, but I am yet to see a snake or a gator. The signs are there to warn, so I assume they are hanging around as well. After all, this is Florida, lol.
The Ibis makes its way around this park, even hanging around the ducks and the pigeons. It certainly is the star of this show, and it struts around the other birds like it knows it.
One of the best parts about this park is the pond, where you can walk/run while enjoying the scenery. Listening to the fountain flow while walking is very soothing.
Thank you for reading and I think I will go for another walk in this park. I am always amazed at the beauty that surrounds me; maybe I might finally see a gator. Stay tuned…
